I am so sorry to hear about your fathers death. He taught me maths for 3 years and I was priviledged to meet him again at the reunion in 2001. A man I greatly respected.
Thank you Kara for your kind message. Yes, he was indeed an awesome Dad, teacher, musician and sports person. Mighty hard act to follow!! He is certainly missed but never forgotten. At choir practices, I and fellow choristers often giggle when we see instructions on our music "Watch Ivan"!

Sorry to hear about your dad's death Alison. He was my French teacher from the third form, and I'm happy to say that I still remember a lot of my school girl French, due in a large part to his enthusiasm.
It is with great sadness that I let you know of the death of my father Ivan Hills (Herman) at his home on 27 September 2004 (my birthday) The funeral will take place at St James Church, Lower Hutt on Tuesday, 5 October at 11.00 am.
