My name is Terry Burrell and I am currently involved in a research project involving Victoria University and OPC (Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre). I am a past teacher at HVHS and I know the school has a long history of involvement with OPC, having sent students there for Adventure Challenge courses over many years. The focus of my research is the impact of adventure challenge programmes on participants’ attitudes. Part of my research has involved surveying current students at OPC but I am now moving to a longitudinal study for which I need to contact ex-students who attended OPC anytime between 1980 and 2000. I would be very glad to hear from anyone prepared to complete an e-mail survey and/or a telephone interview in order to provide me with insights into longer-term impacts of their experiences at OPC.
