Yes, I remember the scrap with Martyn, even though I almost forgotten how he looked like. Ghosh! I really don't know why I acted so assertive at that time. And he was bigger chap even then - By the way, his photo with that huge fish at the eclipse site is quite impressive, *smile* My family is in Germany (with 3 kids - 8, 13 &17), so I am commuting between there and the work in London, here in Europe flight times are short...

I have lived in Brisbane Australia since 1989 and have kept in touch a little. You should register with www.oldfriends.co.nz and you'll find a lot of students from HVHS. I remember you nearly strangled Martin Barlow LOL, I emailed him a couple of years ago. I'm a resource manager, looking after human resources, risk management, workplace health and safety, and quality. I'm married with 4 children ages 13,13,17,19. Have you got family with you?. Hi, does anyone remember me, Gena Raivich, too?
I was in the 3rd and 4th form back in 1974-75. Class teacher was Alison Robin Hill. We left mid-1975, and after a short time in Australia, Greece and Israel my family settled in Germany, where I finished school in 1978 and went on to study medicine. I then did a reseach career, first in Germany, and then here in the UK.
Since 2001 I am at University College London (Reader in Perinatal Neuroscience), and lead a research group here. I wonder what has become of the classmates and our class teacher (by the way, anyone has her email address?)? The reason I am asking right now is that I am probably flying to downunder for a conference in July, and thought to visit the old school and old acquaintences back in Lower Hutt.
