Hi Catherine, I'm sorry I haven't emailed you back recently I lost your email address. I remember Cher her last name was Lahina and I remember going to her house in godley street and stripping wallpaper in one of the bedrooms. It's freaky reading all these names and messages cause it brings back many memories. I have been emailed by grace gray if anyone remembers he from school (primary), she is in Australia.

Hi I am Sherry (Janine's mum) and I can let you know a little of Janine's whereabouts. She is living in Surrey and her email address is roughcut@clear.net.nz. Hi Janine, At last I have looked up this website again thanks to Mr Dent. I have emailed you, but haven't had a reply yet, as I too took so long to reply I wondered if you had changed your email address. Would love to catch up with you again, I hardly remember Cher at all, but have been in contact with Michelle Liddell which was great after 30 years.

Yeah Catherine I am abit older than you but I have a younger sister Roslynn who used to play with Julia Yee. Roslynn is around 37yrs. I also went to school with a Robyn Strawbridge, I wonder if she's related to the girl you know.

Hi Liz, Thanks for your contact. I remember the Yee's name. I am almost certain that Janine's father owned it, but maybe they lived next door or somthing? How old are you now? Sounds a bit personal but I was just wondering if you were around my age (35), and may remember other people. I have 3 school photo's up the loft, and shall have to bring them down inorder to try and remember people, and maybe scan into the site. I remember a maori girl called Marima, and another girl called Gaylene Strawbridge I think her name was. I remember Gaylene lived over the railway bridge, quite near me (Maire Street). It was nice to hear from you.

My Grandma and Great Aunt use to live opposite the whitesline east shops... I can not remember the owners of the fruit and veg shop but I thought the Bhula's had a shop there....
I spent my early years before and after school right across from them.... I attended Waiwhetu school from 1969 to 1973 leaving at the end of standard 3

Hi Catherine, I lived in that area & only remember the 'Yee's' owning the fruit & vegie shop there & the one at Waterloo. My Mum & I used to work for them. I moved away in 71', so by 74' they could have sold it.

I was at waiwhetu school from 1974-1976 between the ages of 7 and 9. One of my form teachers was Mr Dent. I am looking for Michelle Liddle/Liddel and Janine Avery/Abery. Janine's parents owned the fruit and vegetable shop at whitelines east. I left New Zealand for Hong Kong in 1976. and lost touch with everyone. I'd be happy to hear from anyone who may remember me, or was in my class (I still have the class photo's). My email is cathy@lopez.co.uk My maiden name was Oakley

gidday liz, I attended hvhs 1967 to 70 along with the bro Murray. Stu Harper now lives in Featherston and has a business called Harpers Bizzare.His bro Neville I last heard was in Rotorua. cheers Gary

Paddy.. I will never, ever, forgat that night in town when you gave you name to a constable..and even after repeating it a trillion times, he still kept asking for your surname. Do you remember this? It was all to do with something dodgy Alan Ingram had done to attract the attention of the old bill.

Peter, I do remember your name & I have found John Coogan (but not had a reply!),Vivienne Tubb (again no reply), Colleen Dunn & the Constable brothers have all replied.Please do try to get to the Reunion, the more the merrier. It's also the first one that I've known about since leaving school in 1970. There are alot of names on the HVHS list but not contactable, very frustrating. BFN Libby.
