Hallo Richard, When I saw your name I immediatly said to myself, That was one of my classmates in the 5th form. It's along time ago, at least 30 years. In 1976 I returned to Holland, where I'v been working with the Dutch policeforce since 1979. I remember an English teacher Miss Daily a German teacher Mrs Henderson I think and some "well known" doctor or other with a PHD. Hope to here from you.

Hello, I am Paul Mettam. I live in Denver, though, but I drive a Subaru, but have never sold them. If the other Paul Mettam in Lower Hutt recieves this message I should love hear from him. Perhaps trace family ties. Thanx.

Hi Richard

I came a little after your time was reading the message board and saw you asking about Paul Mettam. He is in Lower Hutt where he has the Subaru dealership at VIC called Harbour City Motor Company.

Regards Jill

Doug . The odds would be about the same as me having a customer/patient (with some unspeakable condition's) with the same name as you!

It amazes me, Richard, just how lucky you are. Imagine finding a chemist shop run by someone with the same name as you... what are the odds of that happening?

Lorraine . I am now at Unichem Perham Pharmacy in Willis St Wellington . After some years mainly in London then Dunedin I returned to Lower Hutt about 15 years ago and will probably be here for a while yet if the Pharmacy political climate allows. There were quite a few M.P.S. running around at the reunion , a few I didn't realise went to HVHS

HI all you 1969 ers. It was really great to catch up with so many of you at the reunion. I have returned home completely exhausted, but loved every minute of it. So many faces, so many memories - thanks to all of you for a good time! Diana

Yes, sorry Doug, I was trying to be PC by not metioning these things, but I understand after a couple of years of Pharmacy school you were whisked away to far better things in the entertainment industry.

ps. The Yukon River is in Canada

Richard, that figure would not be, of course, the same as the number of HVHS students who went to Pharmacy School.

(And do you still move your lips when you read?)

Re Lorraine Thompson . I cannot remember you from school but I was 69-73 and have read extensively your pharmacy magazine . If somebody looked into how many pharmacists went to HVHS I am sure it would be over a hundred and I know personally a fair few who will be at the reunion (including one of the organisers Rosemary T) . I wish you well in your new editorship .

Sorry Richard, while Ross will be in attendance, he will not be spotted. Unfortunately, I borrowed the Dalmation suit for The Gathering last year and...well, it is a long story.. but sadly the dog is dead.

Hi David, Yes Greg is my brother, he is currently living in Toronto (18 years) and is working as a Production Director in the movies. He came out here and was the Art Director when "The Piano" was being made. He is moving back to NZ in January for a couple of years. It would have been cool if he could have come to the reunion. Diana

Hi Diana..are you Greg's sister, perchance. If so, is that him I see credited as production designer on American telemovies from time to time?

Hi Deborah, YOur name didn't ring any bells so I checked my old class photos - only to find that I was in 5A and not 5L, though I was in 6L. It was lovely to get your message though. It must be starting to get cold over there. It is lovely sunny here and I am off to watch a rugby game this afternoon - Bay of Plenty versus Counties, we don't get many top level games in Tauranga, so it is a bit of an occasion! I am really looking forward to the reunion and it will be interesting to meet any of the old school mates there. Cheers Diana

Hi, I think we might have been in 5L together in 1970? I was in 3L1, 4L1, 5L and 6M.

I won't be at the reunion, as I live in Paris and was back in NZ just a couple of months ago, and can't justify another long trip so soon. But I would love to hear from others and am dying of curiosity about what people are doing and where they've ended up.

I work as an economist (on policies rather than academic research). I am now married to a frenchman - though after I decided to settle here and enjoy big city life - and we have an almost 5 year old franco-kiwi son. After 11 years, I now speak passable french, even though I massacred the language shamelessly at school and dropped it as soon as i could!

cheers

Deborah

Hi, I'm not answering your question but could you tell Hilary that I'm still deciding whether to go or not, but I think I will go to the Friday night thing, I'm trying to talk Wendy into coming but Phil is near exhaustion & she would feel a bit guilty leaving him with the kids etc. Anyway get Hilary to email me.
